이 영화 속에는 여러 종류의 세상이 존재한다. 주인공들이 살아가는 세상, 주인공들이 바라보는 세상, 주 .인공들의 이상향, 나머지 세상사람들이 살아가는 세상: 주인공들과 세상은 물과 기름처럼 서로 전혀 섞이지 않는 것처럼 보인다. 그러나, 그들은 현실의 한 공간을 차지하며 숨쉬고 존재하고, 흔적을 남기며 살아간다. 주인공 남자 두 명이 한 가족을 이루고, 여자 세 명이 다른 한 가족을 이룬다는 사실은 영화 결말부분에 그들이 지구를 떠나기 직 전, 서로 마지막 밥상을 같이 함으로서 드러난다. 계속 파편처럼 보여지는 그들의 독립된 삶은 이상한 관계로 서로 얽히고, 서로에게 흔적을 남긴 후, 서로의 기억 속에서 사라진다. (In the film, several worlds exist such as a world where the main characters live, a world where the main characters look at, a world where the main characters dream, and a world where the other people live. Each thread of their stories develops independently, yet becomes intertwined towards the end as Daughter sells her body to Father in order to get the money to perform the surgery, and Grandmother finds Son to save her ideal man from the unlicensed prostitute quarters. When they have the last dinner in the end of the film, we finally recognize that the Father and Son are in one Family, and Grandmother, Mother, and Daughter are in another family.)

  연출의도. 이 영화는 아이러니와 단절에 대한 개인적인 이야기이다. 이 영화는 현대사회의 아이러니와 모순, 가족간의 단절, 그리고 지구의 오염에 대해 새로운 접근방식을 갖는다. 이러한 사회적 문제점들을 trivialism, surrealism and minimalism의 렌즈를 통해 나만의 코드, 나만의 방식으로 표현한다. 모호한 액팅, 초현실적인 미쟝센과 탈색된 칼라는 현대 인간관계의 모순과 어색함, 그리고 세기말적인 암울한 현대사회를 표현한다. 나는 이 영화에서 우리가 살아가는 세상이 아이러니와 고통으로 가득 차 있음을 말하고자 한다. 이 영화는 내가 세상을 바라보는 방식이고, 나의 직접적인 경험과 개인적인 감정에 바탕을 두고 있다. (This film is just my personal story about irony and separation. This symbolically and poetically includes the irony and contradiction of modern society, the collapse of family’s value, and the global pollution. These social problems have been referred by my unique way through the lens of trivialism, surrealism, and minimalism in this film. Moreover, obscure acting style, surrealistic mise-en-scene, and desaturated color symbolize the contradiction and awkwardness of the human’s relationship, and the dystopian and decadent world. I would like to say that this world is a full of irony and pain. This film is my way to look at the world and has started from my experience and my personal emotion.)
